A Longford-based mum of two has introduced a novel new product on to the market, which promises to make soothing your baby easier. Called the Steri-Soother, it’s a pre-sterilised, ready-to-go soother – you just open the pack and give to your baby without the five-minute hassle of sterilising.

This new invention is particularly handy for your overnight hospital bag and as a time saver when you are out and about, says Anne-Marie Durkin, the woman inspired to launch the product to make life with a new baby simpler. ″The idea came to me when I was in hospital having my second child. There is so much work involved with a new baby and I just thought that ready-sterilised soother would make my life less stressful″.
